Suddenly, the horizon looked far too real. We had a three-day workweek ending on Thursday! It was a welcome respite for everyone at the office. Instead of commuting back to our homes to unplug, we were getting ready to embark on an experience of a lifetime.

The land of Kingfishers and Konkani, Goa looks breathtaking in the Monsoon, making the train journey nothing short of an adventure that started from Ahmedabad, a city known for its relentless pace.

Welcome to The Laid-back Lifestyle

They say it’s never about the destination but the journey that takes you there. This journey to Goa was our ticket to the “laidback” lifestyle. It had everything—the anticipation, the thrill, and the feeling of being alive.

Amidst the salty breeze, raindrops on the windowsills, and scenic trails, hearty laughter echoed, stories were shared, games took the stage, and songs filled the air. The backdrop of waterfalls coincided with the rains as the smells of wet mud weaved the poetry in motion. Time slowed down, and worries faded away as we prepared ourselves to witness a blissful Goa dream.

The bus ride from the station to our hotel in Candolim took us through some of Goa’s most famous nooks and corners adorned with distant oceans, sandy shores, and crashing waves.

Our welcome at the Hyatt Centric was nothing short of a grand celebration, and everyone felt like a celebrity! 🤵🤵‍♀️

As we entered the hotel, we looked at the big map of Goa on the wall, marking our footprints on this land of quaint old churches, vintage cafes, bars, and nightlife to die for. We were greeted with a beautiful Goan folk song played on Guitar, garlands of seashells, and some refreshing energy drinks.

Arrived in Style, Slayed for a While!

We couldn’t wait to see our rooms, but our stomachs couldn’t wait to head to feast on the scrumptious menu that awaited us. Our rooms spoke of magnificence, spacious wardrobes, comfortable beds, and windows overlooking panoramic views.

We didn’t have enough time to get ready as the highly eventful night was about to unfold. We dressed up in our best attires for the 15th-anniversary award ceremony of Moon Technolabs. All were set for an unforgettable event under the twinkling ceiling lights to reward the hard work, commitment, and resilience to tackle the challenges.

The Event That Was the Talk of The Town: 15 Years of Moon

The event kicked off with the host taking the spotlight with her energetic spirit, which kept everyone in a lighthearted mood throughout the night. Our CEO, Mr. Jayanti Katariya, didn’t leave any stone unturned to appreciate and commend the efforts that every team puts into contributing to its success.

From developers to sales and marketing to IT staff, each team played a huge role and was named the shining star on this planet, the Moon.🏆👑

The highlights of the event were the singers and stand-up comedy act, which brought a fresh zeal in everyone before heading to the dinner and ending the night on a high note. However, the night was still young, and being in Goa meant there was no tomorrow till the sun rose again.

Some headed to the nearby beach to listen to the sounds of waves and just sat on the shore in silence. Some took strolls on the roads while the rains graced them. Others chilled in their rooms with snacks, drinks, and stories.🍻

Tired from the last two days, everyone was starving for a good night’s sleep before waking up to a grand breakfast at the outdoor restaurant. Saving the best for the last, this day was for exploring and witnessing what Goa is all about.

We were extremely lucky to be a part of this celebration, as the arrangements were extravagant, to say the least. Staying at a 5-star hotel in one of the most happening coastal areas of Goa, Candolim, was an experience to remember.

The nearby locations of North Goa, right from Sinquerim, Calangute, Anjuna, and Vagator, boast some of the greatest beach shacks and bars. The Goan streets are lined with pretty interiors, local Goan food outlets serving mouthwatering seafood, and amazing combinations of alcoholic beverages.

The other side is all about castles and forts built on the riversides, tall palm trees, coconut groves, and clear, azure water spread to the lengths your eyesight could take.🏖️

The days are young, and the nights are even younger when you’re in Goa. Sun or no sun, the streets of Goa are always vibrant and light up as you cruise through the roads. With the Monsoon season in the picture, Goa is a perfect combination of relaxation and adventure.

End of an Adventure

As we ended our trip dancing on the floors until the wee hours of the morning, we wished we had one more day to soak in this crazy, hectic weekend. However, it had to end at some point, and we had to go back to our work desks, reminiscing about the moments and unexpected bonds we created over the entire journey.

This getaway made everyone realize how important it is to build bonds outside the walls of our office. As we started our week after the trip, we had a renewed sense of purpose and deeper connections that would become the pillars of our continued success.
